Cake Therapy and Beyond
We are continuing with Cake Therapy and all classes will be held on Zoom with Countryfolk’s amazing Lynne Thiessen. If you haven’t already attended Cake Therapy, then it’s time you did and find out what you are missing. If you are a beginner quilter or advanced quilter you will have fun learning and sharing different techniques. There are NO FEES for these sessions, but great deals if you want to take things home. In the Hoop Bowl – Kreative Kiwi
Ready to try something a little different? This project can be either a table mat or a bowl. The fun thing about this project is that it is assemble in the hoop. In class we will go over how to put the project together and look at different types of fabrics we can use to get different looks.

Learn To Use Your Sewing Machine
Did you get a new sewing machine? Has it been a long time since you sewed? This class is for you. We will start from the beginning on setting up your machine to sew with ease. Do you want to know what all those feet in the box do? This class is free to anyone who purchased their machine from Tom’s Sewing, Countryfolk Fabric or Burnaby Sewing.

Summer Serged Pillow
This adorable pillow is jam packed full of new techniques on your serger, you will have a blast sewing it. In this class you will learn the following techniques: Gathering, piping, beading, rolled hem and how to put a zipper in a pillow. We will also discuss using fun mediums such as lace, beading and Texture Magic which adds depth to quilt making and brings the opportunity to add a 3-dimensional touch to any project. Students need to have a serger with piping foot attachment, beading foot attachment, and universal foot which comes with the machine.

Floating Squares
This is a fun little quilt using all those leftover bits and pieces that you’ve got from other quilts this one’s a baby quilt which was great fun to make. Come and have some fun turning those little bits into another quilt. If you don’t have enough we can trade. Just pick up your bag of bits to supplement what you’ve already got when you register for this class. Leave a bag if you’d like and someone else will get it. All Scraps will be prepackaged and isolated for two weeks before they go out so Covid safe. A light little summer project.

All Good Things – Block of the Month
Hoopsisters has changed things up this year with their block of the month. Titled “All Good Things” – each block has a theme….such as Vineyard, Love Notes and Farm Fresh to name a few. Each block can be finished on its own to create a cute wall hanging that can be changed out throughout the year or given as gifts……or you can sew them all together to get the “All Good Things” quilt. Each month we will cover some tips and tricks to complete the block and spend some time sewing it together.

New! Kimberbell Social Embroidery Club
Do you love to embroider? Do you love to share your work? Do you love to learn new techniques?
We will be hosting an online embroidery club. Every month, a new technique will be demo’d. Patterns will be loaded onto USB sticks and available to pick up after the club. We will not be sewing during this club, but we will be demoing and sharing ideas. The club projects will be based off Kimberbell designs that are clever, whimsical and a fun way to learn different embroidery techniques. Even if you have never done machine embroidery before, you will enjoy this club. Kimberbell designs are so cute and have amazing instructions; this club will not disappoint you. There are NO FEES to attend.
